The Realities of Life (Part 2)

Find your purpose!

Your purpose is to find purpose.

Make your passion your purpose.

Many of us have either heard or said some variation of the above phrases at one point in our lives. When put in perspective, these phrases are not only ambiguous, they are meaningless. They are phrase we say for encouragement. It’s difficult to successfully find something without knowing what that something truly is.  For starters, what is purpose?According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the definition of purpose is something set up as an object or end to be attained intention.  The purpose of life is something that we all seek to find and understand. We go to the highest mountain tops and the lowest vices in search of purpose. Yet, so many end of in the same spot; empty trying to fill a seemingly bottomless void. Are we here in this earth wander aimlessly only to die 50-60 years later(if we’re lucky?) There has to be more to life than the proverbial rat race. Clock-in, clock-out, eat, sleep and do it again the next day.

Is it possible that the answer has been in front of us all along, and that we’ve been too blind to see it?

“So did you think that We created you for nothing, and that you will not be brought back to Us?” Surah Al Mumenoon [23:115]

“I did not create the Jinns and the human beings except for the purpose that they should worship Me.” Surah Adh Dhariyat [51:56]
